Really enjoyed my 2 week stay at Lucero in Playa Santa Teresa... The staff were incredible, including Zeneida & Richard, who were both very friendly. The managers Marieke & Jared were super chill and always willing to help, made friends with both of them. Loved the buffet breakfast, the gorgeous pool area, the short walk to the beach, a nearby grocery store & being set back off the main road in ST. Will definitely stay again!

We just left Lucero and cannot express highly enough how incredible our week was. Not only were the grounds beautifully maintained, the breakfast fresh and delicious, and the staff warm and accommodating, we went from never having surfed to riding huge green waves in just four days. Daniel, Isaac, and Jared were amazing coaches- they were patient yet motivating and built us up to be confident beginner surfers. Lucero's intimate setting allowed us to get to know the other guests and we quickly built bonds both in and out of the water. This was truly a great experience- we will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lucero! The property is gorgeous, but the most beautiful part is the people who work there. They made us feel like a part of a family. Jared, Isaac, and Daniel are very patient and experienced surf instructors, and the whole group was surfing real waves by Friday! I couldn't believe it but we did it! Marieke is a very responsive host, and she did everything to make sure everyone has a great experience. I really loved that the whole group checked in and checked out at the same time, so we had an opportunity to build friendships, meet for breakfast on the property, go surfing, and then go grab lunch or dinner all together. It made this trip very special.

Marieke and Jared are kind and thoughtful hosts, who genuinely want you to have the best time and make the most of your experience. For surfing, you're in amazing hands, it's not a generic, cookie cutter lesson experience. It's completely tailored to your vibe with expert local knowledge about the conditions. You'll get a mix of breaks and be able to safely challenge yourself. Do yourself a favour and come here for at least one week every year.
